They are reading current editions of the Oakland Tribune which showcase the murder of the Arnesons and the discovery of the bodies in the Kroeger basement. Tribune on August 22 1962: "In San Diego, jack Arneson had been shocked by the discovery of his father's body. It was not unexpected news, but it was final. And now, a second grim advisory [about Mildred Arneson]. "It comes as no surprise to me," he said.
