Cover is brown pebbled leather; pages are black photo-album paper. There are 82 silver-gelatin matte finish photographs of various dimensions scattered through 40 pages of the album. History: Photographs taken by the donor's father, a druggist in Oakland, Robert A. Leet, (1872-1965). The pictures show the area of Northern California near Mt. Lassen, and the Feather River region now flooded by Lake Almanor. The area was visited during the summer by the donor and his family, in the early years of the century. The photographs are landscapes, views of local buildings and landmarks, and snapshots of various identified and unidentified individuals. Fishing features prominently as a subject matter. Condition: Cover is fair; binding worn at spine, and cover worn at all edges, esp. front bottom. Pages: Generally good, some with small rips or creases. Book is interleaved at irregular intervals with original glassine sheets. Photographs: generally good. Many have some silvering out along edges, some discolored by old adhesives.
