This slip, of plain weave white cotton, is finished at the neckline and armholes with a slight ruffle of Valenciennes type lace. The hem is finished with a deep band of machine made eyelet embroidery. It fastens in the back with two buttons. There's also a small drawstring at the waist. (Inez Brooks-Myers, February 19, 2009)
