Tribune caption reads, "This was the scene outside Moses Hall this morning -- and a workman's reaction to it." After the student siege of Moses Hall, desks, chairs, and office supplies that were taken from the building or used in the barricade fill the small plaza in front of the building. UC employees sift through the mess. On October 23-24, 1968, U.C. Berkeley students took over several campus buildings, including Sproul Hall, Dwinelle Hall, Campbell Hall, and Moses Hall, to protest, among other things, the denial of course credit to a class about racism that featured Eldridge Cleaver as a guest lecturer.
