At 3:45 AM Governor Brown orders arrests. Twelve hours later, some 800 protestors have been arrested. At 1:00 PM, as the arrests continue, 800 professors meet in Wheeler, passing resolutions favoring political freedom and amnesty and condemning the use of police on campus. Governor Brown is picketed by Davis students. Pickets attempt to block campus entrances. GCC meets to implement the strike.
