Leather-covered wood chest with iron fastenings.
Content description:
Chest. Description: leather cassone; leather over wood with iron strapping and lock; elaborate leather design History: Spanish The tooled image on the top of the chest has a double eagle emblem in the center. Emblem has a structure with a door that is flanked by two lions. In the center piece there are also pomegranates and palm dates. On the side registers there are lions and other wild animals with palms. (Susana Macarron 3/13/2007)
