Two B&W photographs, mounted onto one board. Each photograph shows three boys playing on a barred window. Artist note: Acrobatics on bars of the windows at 322 Lewis Street (Leonard/Beasley studio). When Bruce bought the building it had been abandoned and all the plumbing and electricity had been torn out. Vandals had easy access to the building through broken windows. So when Bruce bought the building and began to restore the plumbing etc and eventually build living quarters there for us, he put plywood in the windows and bars on the outside. These downstairs windows remained boarded up when we lived there as far as I recall - though I also remember some of the windows had plastic stretched.
