Content description:
Large choker style necklace with a hinged extension. A colorful pattern created during the anodization process in various shades of purple, blue, and gold decorates the surface of the metal. Florence Resnikoff continued to experiment with new metal arts techniques throughout her long career. At the time she made this neckpiece, anodization was largely an industrial process that few artists used for jewelry.
