Handwritten on the back, "A.S. Lavenson." A close up of A.S. Lavenson giving a speech on Feb. 15, 1928, the ground breaking ceremonies for the new Capwell's store in Oakland. Lavenson is looking at a piece of paper he has and speaking. In front of him on a podium are two large microphones. There is also a pitcher and a glass of water.
