Photo shows the exterior of Ripley's Odditorium on the Gayway at the Golden Gate International Exposition in 1939. A small stage is in front of the Odditorium on which a man wearing shorts, t-shirt, sandles, and a long beard is standing and pointing at something with a stick. In front of this small stage is an emcee dressing in a captains outfit and holding a microphone. A sign on the stage says "20 living human oddities performing unbelievable feats in eleven beautiful stages..." The Odditorium was a production of Ripley's Believe-It-or-Not and had carnival sideshows like "The Mule Faced Woman." (see "Treasure Island" by Richard Reinhardt).
