Contact sheet of twelve photos - three rows of 2"x 2" The photos show a political protest by members of the Ad Hoc Committee to End Discrimination. They are protesting discriminatory hiring practices by the Oakland Tribune. Nine photos are "mug shots" - close-up photos of individual demonstrators who have been arrested . The other three photos show a small crowd of people gathered by the chain link fence kin front of the Oakland Tribune loading dock. Two police paddy wagons are backed up to the fence. Six "X"s are written in blue pencil on the back of the photograph.
