District Attorney J. Frank Coakley questions Charles Wyckoff, Deputyt Sheriff in Trinity County. A similar photo appeared in the Oakland Tribune on December 1, 1955. The caption for that photo read: "Charles Wyckoff, Trinity Co. deputy sheriff, identifies a clod of cellophane-wrapped earth as one lifted off Stephanie Bryan's body when her hillside grave was opened. He told Dist. Atty. Coakley that imprints on the clod appeared to be from Stephanie's sweater. This would indicate the body was buried during the wet period.
