Content description:
A scene, according to the notation on the back of the photo, of "Athol Avenue looking toward Lake Merritt [not shown]." Trees are on the near side of Athol Ave. On the far side are several two-story houses, and a one story house near the right edge, facing on Athol Ave. What looks like greehouses, but possibly barns, are next to the single-story house, one running parallel to Athol, and the other at right angles to it. Both are enclosed by a picket fence.
