Caption reads, "Madison, Wis., Oct. 18 -- Police use sticks to rout students -- Police used tear gas and night sticks to break up anti-war demonstrations on University of Wisonsin campus in Madison Wednesday. Sit-in was staged to protest job recruiting on campus by Dow Chemical Co., maker of napalm for Vietnam War. Some demonstrators were bloodied in melee and detective was hit in face with brick.
