The Tribune photo, dated April 19, 1941, has the following caption on the back "Mr. and Mrs Philip Read Bradley Jr. (Katherine Connick) married last night at the Tanglewood home of the bride's parents, cut their cake as members of the wedding party offer wishes for happiness." The tiered wedding cake is in the foreground, the bride and groom, wearing traditional and formal wedding clothing, are cutting into it on the far side, and well-wishers are in the background.
