A48 is in Palm Canyon at Palm Springs. The picture was part of this marvelous assignment for the Southern Pacific Company. One [part of the assignment was] to go to Salt Lake City and back and photograph anything that interested me from the point of view of a tourist but particularly trying to show the scenery seen from trains or what people might do at arrival points.
