Content description:
This is a photographic negative of an Oakland Oaks baseball game in progress. In this shot either a Sacramento Solon's or San Francisco Seal's base runner is coming home. The runner is wearing a team jacket and is most likely the current pitcher for the team. The catcher (#27) is eight feet to the right of the runner attempting to retrieve the throw. A player is hunched over to the right of the photo with his arms down near his ankles. The umpire is in position to make the call running in between the runner and the catcher in the photo. The third base and left field side can be seen in the background.
