On the back of the photo Oakland Tribune hand written "Tunnel #1 3 col Broadway tunnel". There are two dates stamped on the back JUN 25 1963 and JUN 26 1963. There is a newspaper article pasted on the back with a stamp of TR D JUN 26 1963 "TUNNEL BUILDERS - Two trucks (center) unload concrete for the arched roof of the new Caldecott Tunnel between Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. More than 100,000 tons will be poured before the tunnel is finished". The photograph shows two construction workers wearing hard hats inside of tunnel. Construction equipment and pipes.
