Envelope reads, "Mrs. B.F. Palmerton (4-1-17 handwritten)." Negative is a portrait of a woman standing next to a slanted wall of windows. She is wearing a tall hat with a large feather in the band and netting. Her dress is tight fitting with a patterned top (or blouse) over which is a vest-like garment of heavy embroidery (resembles a doillie).
