One of the photo taken by Doc Rogers in the aftermath of the 1906 Earthquake in San Francisco. [We do not have his original negatives.] Handwritten on the back, "Earthquake S.F. 1906. Market at 3rd S.F. toward Ferry. Examiner Bldg, Monadnoch bldg., Palace Hotel, 1906 quake." Photo shows the ruins of several buildings. The first building says "Hearst Building," home of the Examiner, completely gutted, only exterior walls still standing. Other buildings next to it are in similar shape. Coming up the street are two men on horseback. Several people walking around in the street.
