The clipping on the back of the photo, dated May 19, 1969, reads Traffic moved slowly today on six paved lanes of the Highway 80 bypass around the crater-like hole near Pinole. Story on Page 1" The surface of I-80 wich has collapased is shown at left, with cars moving in both directions on the diversion at right. Barricades are up to prevent traffic movement on the collapsed sections.
