Tribune captions on tthe back, April 16, 1961-- "San Francisco's East Street (now the Embarcadero) one month after the 1906 earthquake and fire... the city was rebuilding.- photo from theWyland Stanley Collection." April 17, 1966-- "Traffic was tangled at San Franciso's ferry building for months after the April 18, 1906 earthquake." Photo shows the crowed street in front of several buildings near and around the piers. The street is crowed with horse pulling wagons, some filled with lumber and debris, and others pulling buggies. In the distance near one of the buildings are two automobiles parked side by side.
