Content description:
Photo is a section of a panorama that was made of three separate photographs taped together. [H96.1.164, H97.1.165, and H97.1.166]. This photo was taken from a high vantage point (probably the Fairmont Hotel) looking toward Russian Hill (?) showing the destruction of the buildings and homes. Debris litters the streets and piles where buildings once stood. The buildings that remains are missing walls and roofs.
Concepts:
debris; ruin; aerial view; 1906 Earthquake and Fire
