One of the photos taken by Doc Rogers in the aftermath of the 1906 Earthquake in San Francisco. [We do not have his original negatives.] Clipping on the back, "Apr. 15, 1956--San Francisco's City Hall became a skeleton." Another, "May 7, 1985--City Hall in San Francisco after 1906 earthquake." Photo shows the remains of city hall with a group of people standing around in front looking at the ruins. Building is gutted. The skelaton of the tower holding up a dome is in the middle of the photo, the top part of the dome did not burn and the statue at the very top of the dome is still standing.
