Close up of dragon's head and body. From notes written on back of photo: "McKinley School -- Chinese Dragon Parade -- New Year." Jan 30, 1990. A dragon made by the children of McKinley School. The dragon is "looking" at the camera. The head is painted, has flared nostrils, streamers extending down from the nose, light colored cheeks with freckles, large white eyes with dark pupils, bushy eyebrows and three wrinkles on the forehead. Beside each check are dark pleated areas behind which dark streamers hang down. There are dark ears on each side of the head resembling small angel's wings. Two legs clad in stonewashed jeans and athletic shoes are beneath the head. The body extends behind the head and is long and narrow. Triangles of white are outlined with a dark border and have one large dark dot in each of them. There are children (but not visible) beneath the dragon's body as it extends above the floor. In the upper right corner of the photo are other children that could be holding up another portion of the body. This portion has a dark line down the middle of the body with wavy dark lines perpendicular to it and dark dots and other decorations between the wavy lines.
