One pair woman's shoes. Condition: fair. Dimensions: a and b: 8" x 5 1/2" x 3".
Content description:
Black, high heeled, open toed pumps of synthetic alligator with heavy cloth (black) sole. Remarks: Important because of the use of synthetic materials to produce shoes when leather was rationed during World War II - (1941-1945). 1/27/94, IBM: These shoes were probably not rationed since they are made of non-essential materials. Even the sole is woven - we were really trying to do without then. (Joan Severa, 3/2/1994)
