Content description:
This is a photographic negative of an Oakland Oaks baseball game in progress. In this shot an Oakland Oak's base runner is heading home and only three or four steps away from the plate. The catcher is on the ground and desperately stretching for the runner to make the play. The umpire watches the play standing just behind and to the left of the plate. A baseball bat is on the ground just outside of the batter's box and the catcher's mask is on the ground behind the plate and just to the right of the umpire's feet. The background is the third base side.
