The second of two parts of a type wtitten press release, continued from 2000.1.1362...."powertrain. Ford engineers [in this photo] measure output voltage of the current invertor [sic] going to the electric motor. The invertor [sic] takes a signal and direct current (DC) to run the motor. The vehicle will have a target range of 100 miles, a zero-t0-50 speed of 14 seconds and a recharge time of six hours. It will use a high energy sodium sulfur battery, which Ford invented in 1965 [and did not use until 1991!!! JMaas 12/112000] In this scene three Ford engineers are working under the hood of the van.
