M.L. Cohen included this glass negative in his box labeled "Airport 1928". In the 1920s, California had more airports than any other state. The Oakland Municipal Airport understood as the gem of these airports. This photo is of the administration building. Our vantage point is one of guest who would be flying into the airport. There is a sign that informs visiting pilots. It reads: "Oakland Municipal Air Port (first line);visiting pilots register(second line)". The line above this request is too small to read and it is possible that this sign is not totally visible from our vantage point.
