Tribune caption on the back, Apr. 19, 1951- "Packed solid across Market Street as far as the eye can see, the people strian for a glimpse of their returning soldier hero., as MacArthur's car swings from Montgomery Street. The crowd delayed the parade for an hour." Photo shows a huge crowd of people gathered in the middle of Market St. The San Francisco Examiner building can be seen a ways down the street. On the right are a line of police officer on motorcycles holding the crowd back.
