Kachina Doll. Description: Guard Kachina (?). Black case mask with pop eyes & "Feather tableto". Snake in Forehead, Rectangular mouth, Beard Embroidered breechcloth, fox skin, Dyed Red Horsehair on sides of legs. Body Paint Pink - Forearms, lowerlegs, shoulders Black with dots. Red mocassins, leather Baudoliers, anklets, garters Black yarn Bracelets, Green & white plant "Staff" in hand. Dimensions: length: 17.25 in (with feathers), width: 15.0 in (with feathers). Condition: Excellent.

History: made by Claude Saskevaya for Oakland Public Museum in late 50's/early 60's. References/Remarks: Appears very similar the Zuni kachina Citulilu Feukes 1903 p. 107. Close to Traditional Design, Named "Guard Kachina" by maker.
