Two photos that are identical, one is 8x10 and the other 11x14 and had a typed sheet containing the following information stapled to the photographs which were stapled to each other. "Blaikie, memo to the city desk. Re: 25, 26, and 27th Sts. and Broadway... The new traffic island situation at these intersections appears to be working out much better than the 'islands of confusion' previously situated there. With the new traffic lane markings which have been painted, is thought by Jay A. Czizek, city traffic engineer, that motorists will be able to move more rapidly through the crossings. Traffic lights have been set to favor Broadway traffic. There have been technical difficulties for the last week affecting about 70 intersectons." Photo is taken from a high vantage point and looks all the way down Broadway. Cars are stopped at street lights and turning onto adjoining streets. The first cross street in the photo is 27th St. which has a Ford car dealership on one corner and a church on the opposite one. A Coca Cola delivery truck filled with bottles is crossing the intersection. Further down the street is Breuner's department store and several other businesses whose signs are not clear.
