A 5x7 transparency taken at night shows a lighted fountain flanked by columns of light illuminating vertical towers. The fountain is to the fore of a double row of streetlamps receding towards a slender illuminated tower with two tiers of pointed merlons. Fountain of Western Waters was installed as part of the Golden Gate International Exposition on Treasure Island (San Francisco), 1939-1940.
