At 11:00 AM, 16,000 students and faculty gather in the Greek Theatre to hear an address by Clark Kerr. Amnesty for all actions prior to December 3 is declared. Mario SAvio attempts to speak, but is dragged off stage by police. Savio is released and announces a rally in front of Sproul Hall, at which 10,000 students reject Kerr's political proposals. A moratorium on the strike is to begin at midnight. The faculty Two Hundred meet. The Undergraduate Association holds its first meeting.
