First side is "A Curse on the Men in Washington, Pentagon" by Gary Snyder is a poem speaking out against the war in Vietnam and for a return to nature (living lives like Chief Joseph or Ishi, and for loving, and protecting one's children. The obverse is another poem "Some Time This Summer" by Steve Tyler which addresses images of an inter-racial summer of love in San Francisco. This poem also uses the word "fuck" which was still potent with the older generation, but becoming acceptable with many in the younger generation as an all purpose word of emphasis; however, in its use in this poem, it refers to the more usual definition of sexual intercourse.
