Original envelope read, "Democratic National Convention, 1920." Negative shows three men standing side-by-side. All three are wearing coats over their suits. The man on the far right is younger than the other two and is wearing a cap. He is probably a delegate to the convention. The 1920 Democratic National Convention was held in San Francisco June 28 at the urging of President Woodrow Wilson. The party pledged ratification of the Treaty of Versailles and supported the League of Nations. The nominee was Governor James M. Cox of Ohio and Franklin D. Roosevelt, then assistant secretary of the navy, for vice-president. The Republican nominee was Warren G. Harding, who went on to win the election.
