Handwritten on the back, "SW from about Bush & Mason." Photo shows the destruction of the city following the 1906 earthquake and fire. Debris is piled where buildings once stood. Many of the buildings that are still standing are missing walls and windows. In the distance, through the smoke from the smoldering fires, is the devasted City Hall building with is skelatal dome.
