Content description:
Handwritten on the back, "Coral Sea arrives Alameda." Photo shows the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Coral Sea pulling into Alameda Naval Air Station. The entire crew lines the edge of the deck all the way around the ship. A large crowd of people are waiting on shore for the carrier to come in. Near the edge of the dock is a crane waiting to put the gang plank in place. In the background, on the other side of the ship, can be seen a tug boat. See H98.1.1237 for further info on the Coral Sea.
