Photograph of crowd of students being kept away by a contingent of police officers and highway patrol officers (donning helmets). Many students are sitting, others are standing. Many in the crowd are wearing "FSM" [Free Speech Movement] armbands. This photograph was used in the December 3, 1964, Oakland Tribune. The caption read: "A cordon of CHP officers and other police block students from entering campus along Bancroft Way.
