M.L. Cohen included this glass negative in his box labeled "Airport 1928". In the 1920s, California had more airports than any other state. The Oakland Municipal Airport was seen as the gem of all of the California airports. This photo is of three men all sporting pilot hats. There is another person in the photo but one can only see part of the hand of that individual. Two of the men are in the plane. One is sitting down in a pilot's seat while holding onto a baseball bat and the other is standing while holding onto an object that the man standing on the ground is giving him. On the side of the plane there is the name "Aircraft Co.
