There is some slight contradictory information on the back of the photo. The Tribune photo, dated July 23, 1989, has the following caption on the back: "An F-14 thrills the crowd flying only 20 feet off the ground." The handwritten notation on the back reads "F-4 Phantom flys by crowd Reno Air National Guard." The plane, whether an F-4 or an F-14, may belong to the Reno Air National Gaurd, but the locale is definitely Livermore Municipal Airport.In this scene spectators are behind a fence, while the plane buzzzes by on the far side.
