A view looking uphill on a section of new and virtually completed segments of new Highway 580 between Castro Valley and Dublin, looking West. Both the eastward and westward roadways are complete except for shoulders, signs and paint. Road graders are at work on the space in between. The clipping on the back of the photo from the Sunday, January 13, 1985 Tribune reads "Unopened stretch of I-580 looking west toward Castro Valley.
