Handwritten on the back, "Laying carpet in new store, July, 1929." Seven men are on their hands and knees using a tool to flatten a new carpet at the new Capwell's store. They are all wearing overalls. In another picture (h96.18.17) these same men are referred to as "Harry Anderson's men". Originally part of large photo album, #29 [not original number but in original order.]
