[We do not have his original negatives.] Clipping on the back, "Apr. 17, 1949--Gaunt ruins stood on Nob Hill and in the northern part of the city for months after the tragic fire days." Another, "Apr. 13, 1969--For months after the tragic earthquake and fire of April 18, 1906, gaunt ruins stood on San Francisco's Nob Hill." Photo shows crumbled buildings and a few lone walls here and there. A few people walking on the street.
