Handwritten on the back, "ground breaking ceremonies, Feb. 15, 1928." This photo shows the crowd gathered for the speeches at the ground breaking ceremonies for the Capwell's store. They are all seated watching the stage. On the stage are about three dozen men, seated. A.S. Lavenson is giving s speech. Automobiles and spectators are on the street behind the stage. Originally part of large photo album, #47 [not original number but in original order.]
