Each of the women is wearing a sash across her chest representing the various cities/counties of California, including: Miss California, Miss Los Angeles, Miss San Francisco, Miss East Bay, Miss Santa Rosa, Miss Fresno, Miss Berkeley, and Miss San Jose. They may be posing at Neptune Beach. Although on the original envelope there was an indication that this negative had a contact print, there is not a contact print in the blue binders.
