A typewritten Associated Press notation is built into the front of the photo; it reads: " OAKLAND, CALIF., JULY 29-- THEY PITCHED A NO HITTER-- Francisco Barrios, left, and John ['Blue moon'] Odom are shown in Chicago White Sox clubhouse after they combined efforts to throw a no-hitter against the Oakland A's. Oakland did score a run but it was not the result of base hits. Final score of the game, Chicago 2 Oakland 1." The two men are shown jointly holding a baseball, presumably the last ptich thrown in the game.
