This is a split cedar model boat, ca. 1920-1930.
Content description:
The bottom interior of the boat has three bumps, which are said to represent the heart, lung, and kidney of the vessel. Being thus animated, the boat is sure to float, according to Yurok stories. (P. C. Klieger)
