Depiction: People stand around plants which have been planted in a large dirt field in Berkeley. A few hold gardening tools. Bongo drums sit on a saw horse. Pine trees have been planted and their bases circled with rocks. At right there is a sight that reads: "Peoples / Park / Mobile Annex". From Picture This: "This is a photograph of the People's Park Mobile Annex in Berkeley, California in May 1969. The Mobile Annex was an offshoot of the People's Park. The People's Park activists' goal was 'letting a thousand parks bloom.' With that thought in mind, the activists created the People's Park Mobile Annex, which was a two-block section of the Hearst Corridor.
