Content description:
Original envelope read, "Oakland Maternity Hospital." Negative shows the exterior of what appears to be a very large house. There is a palm tree in front of the house and ivy crawling up the side of the building. (D. Cooper, 7/98) Given the date and the title and the fact that Children's Hospital in Oakland began as the "Baby Hospital Association," I think this might be an early image of Children's Hospital.
